Abstract

Throughout all previous experiments the photochemical reaction was used to produce the NaCd molecule in one of its electronically excited states.1,2 In recent experiments we found the reaction to be even more efficient than (1).3 However, applying high buffer-gas pressures reaction (2) is replaced by the reactive three-body collision.
