Abstract
We have studied resonance fluorescence of collisionally perturbed, dense barium vapour excited by 10 ns laser pulses, nearly resonant with the 553,548 nm resonance line. Similarly as in the earlier studies of collisional redistribution [1], fluorescence spectra consist of two components: one at the laser frequency ωL and another one at the perturbed atomic frequency ωF. When the Rabi frequency Ω is comparable with the collisional width Γ, two novel features are observed.
