Abstract

Recent studies in the squeezing generation have revealed dear advantages in system with competing non-linearities of different kinds [1,2]. In particular, one of the authors have shown [1] how an added third order non linearity can improve substantially bright squeezing generation with respect to the standard second order systems. More explicitly, the dynamics of the proposed system is described by the Hamiltonian i.e.. a combination of the usual OPO/SHG term with a Kerr effect term.
