Abstract

On the basis of the well known Hamiltonian for the Quantum Field Theory of atomic two-level systems interacting with the quantized electromagnetic field, we calculated the dynamical dipole-dipole interaction of bosonic atoms inside a cavity. The result we obtained is valid for the bad cavity limit and can be used for a wide range of different types of cavities, such as standing wave cavities as well as ring cavities.
