Abstract

The quantum features in the emission of entangled photon pairs in parametric down- conversion have been extensively studied. On a more macroscopic level, we analyse the quantum aspects of the spatial structures generated by a degenerate optical parametric oscillator. The quantum nature of these effects becomes fully evident in the far field configuration [1].
