An Optical Clock Based on Cold CA Atoms

Abstract

A laser has been stabilized to the Ca 657nm transition with a relative uncertainty below 10−13. Combined with PTB’s phase-coherent optical chain to the atomic clock an optical clock in the visible has been realized.
