Abstract

The effects of a strong delayed optical feedback is a central problem for all semiconductor lasers. Recently, the response of a semiconductor laser subject to a delayed optoelectronic feedback was investigated experimentally as a simpler model problem for a laser subject to a delayed feedback [1]. The problem is modeled by the following rate equations for the electrical field Y and the carrier density above threshold Z Time is s ≡ t/τp where τp is the photon lifetime.
