Abstract

Guiding of atoms through hollow core optical fibres has recently attracted increasing attention for technical applications as well as for fundamental research in atom optics, atom interferometry and atom lithography. We report on the first guiding of laser cooled atoms in hollow core optical fibres by means of dipole forces.
