Abstract

The purpose of this talk is to discuss some aspects of the theory of three photon processes in the special case when a pump photon is split into three identical ones. The emerging state is called star state. The objective is to study the time evolution of the light field during amplification process and to calculate the efficiency of the star state in multi-photon processes.
