Abstract
Interaction of a short high intense laser pulse with a thin layer of the matter, which ionized by the pulse due to tunnel ionization, is considered in the work. The 1-D particle-in-cell simulation is used for solution of the system of one-dimensional Maxwell’s and hydrodynamic equations. The initial pulse envelope had sine-square form. The density profile of the layer had exponential rising and falling edges. The effective thickness of layer boundaries was some fraction of a laser wavelength (λ).
