Abstract

The temporal dynamics of molecular three-level laser systems has proved to be a very rich and relevant field from a fundamental point of view, as shown by numerous studies performed in the last decades. Recently, interest has shifted to spatiotemporal dynamics, through the inclusion of light diffraction effects. Enthralling phenomena observed are, for instance, roll-to-turbulence transition in optically pumped molecular lasers [1] and coupled patterns in cascade lasers [2].
