Abstract

Current computational interconnects rely on electrical signal transfer in metal wires. The need for smaller wires integrated into a narrow area leads to potential signal loss through crosstalk and fabrication difficulties. Potential solutions include optical signal transfer, which is large scale, and plasmonic mediated signals, providing a subwavelength-scale solution.
