Abstract
An on-demand single-photon source is a critical requirement for scalable quantum photonics technology, including quantum communication, sensing, simulation, and computation. A promising technique for near-deterministic single-photon generation is multiplexing several heralded single-photon sources using an active optical switching network [1–2]. We demonstrate the multiplexing of time bins [3] and two spatial modes to enhance the single-photon emission statistics of a heralded source.
