Abstract
Dispersive wave (DW) generation is an important frequency conversion mechanism in χ(3) nonlinear optics. Typically, DW formation is considered in a single-pass geometry where the frequency shift of the DW is set solely by the dispersion and nonlinearity of the medium [1]. In this work we consider DW generation in a passive Kerr resonator driven by an external pump. Here, the periodic boundary conditions result in a significant modification of the phasematching relation, with multiple quasi-phasematched DWs possible. In addition, the phase detuning between the pump and the cavity also influences the final DW frequency.
