Abstract
High confinement potentials and large Coulomb correlation energies featured in II-VI semiconductor quantum dots provide promising conditions for quantum experiments on femtosecond time scales [1,2]. Here we report measurements of ultrafast hole relaxation and transient biexciton absorption occurring in a single CdSe/ZnSe quantum dot (QD), studied using a two-color femtosecond pump-probe technique.
