Abstract

Energy transfer between molecules is promoted when they are set in an environment that confines light. It is well established that nanophotonics provides accurate control over the luminescence properties of a single quantum emitter by tailoring the light-matter interaction at the nanoscale. However, when the discussion turns to the interaction of two emitters with their environment, the influence of nanophotonic structures on energy transfer remains a complex and debated question, which has a strong impact in nanosciences and biotechnologies.
