Abstract

The development of femtosecond laser pulses have motivated many studies in laser-solid interactions during the last decades, including material nano-structuration. In dielectric materials, the absorption of laser energy is driven by the electron dynamics during the laser irradiation. However, despite a large number of experimental and theoretical investigations, some interrogations regarding the whole electron dynamics remain. Laser pulses with different wavelengths are used here to exhibit the role of various quantum processes on the electron dynamics.
