Abstract
Since the first observation of Airy beam in 2007, its propagation properties, such as self-acceleration, self-healing and reflection/refraction, have been studied widely [1, 2]. Based on these achievemnts, with the development of photonic lattices, the studies of Airy beam have been spread from homogeneous meduim to periodic structures. In photonic lattices, researchers demonstrate that the accelerating Airy beam is realizable and controllable [3, 4]. Distinguished from previous methods, using modulated photonic lattices for Airy generation is an absolutely novel way [5]. In this case, the beam could be formed from a propagating Gaussian beam in waveguide array.
