Abstract

Molecular optomechanical springs self-assembled in nanometre-scale metallic cavities allow extreme optomechanical coupling and single mid-infrared photon sensitivity. Here we achieve frequency upconversion of 9-10m mid-infrared incoming photons to visible photons via SERS in doubly-resonant metasurfaces.
