Ultrafast Exciton Dynamics in Poly(3-hexylthiophene) Probed with Time Resolved X-ray Absorption Spectroscopy at the Carbon K-edge

Abstract

We apply transient X-ray absorption spectroscopy at the carbon K-edge to study exciton dynamics in poly3-hexylthiophene. We observe a direct, spectroscopic signature of rapid exciton localisation in the material on a sub 50 fs timescale.
