Quantum Surface-Response of Metals Probed by Graphene Plasmons

Abstract

Acoustic graphene plasmons supported in graphenemetal structures are capable of record-high light confinement. Here, we show how this can be exploited to probe the quantum surface-response of metals and infer it from experimental data.
