A critical factor in realizing the sustainable growth of the optics industry is an adequate and steady supply of qualified personnel at all levels. In this paper, we report on the formation of the National Alliance for Photonics Education and Training (NAPET) for developing an integrated system for photonics education and training in Singapore.
