ARROW-Based Gain-Guided Index-Antiguided Fibers for Large Mode Area Laser Amplifiers

Abstract

An improved gain-guided index-antiguided (GGIAG) fiber structure is proposed for large-mode-area laser amplifiers. With an additional dielectric layer placed in the cladding, the pump can be well-confined in the low-index core by antiresonant reflection.
