Distributed incomplete polarization-OTDR for multi-event detection

Abstract

A new scheme of distributed intrusion detection system based on the polarization optical time domain reflectometry is proposed. In the experiment, three events along the fiber were successfully detected by measuring the polarization mode coupling.
