Abstract

Experimental and modeling results are presented for 10 to 200 ns pulsed fiber laser at 1064nm, showing peak power and pulse duration affecting ablation depth and HAZ, producing shallow penetration depths in silicon, and heavy surface oxidation of stainless steel.
