Abstract

The Cassini spacecraft orbiting Saturn carries the Composite Infrared Spectrometer, a Fourier transform spectrometer for measuring the atmospheric composition, thermal structure and dynamics of Saturn and Titan, as well as the compositions and temperatures of the rings and icy moons.
