Tracking the Signed Velocity of an Interferometer Carriage Using an Extended Kalman Filter

Abstract

An extended Kalman filter, which tracks the signed speed the moving carriage, is presented. The filter uses quadrature-less reference laser fringes. Performances are evaluated on the speed estimate using experimental data highly stained by vibrations.
