Excitation-Emission Fluorescence Spectroscopy with Single Molecule Sensitivity Using a Common-Path Interferometer

We demonstrate the use of a simple and highly stable common-path interferometer based on birefringence to measure fluorescence excitation-emission maps with sensitivity down to the single molecule level via a Fourier-transform approach.
