Abstract
I will review recent progress in the acousto-optic tunable filters on cladding engineered and specialty single-mode fibers that leads to a number of all-fiber tunable devices for possible applications in dynamic optical networks such as fast-tuning variable optical attenuator, all-fiber channel monitor, and potentially wavelength tunable all-fiber polarimeter and polarization converter.
