Abstract

Integrated semiconductor lasers in edge-emitting and surface-emitting configurations are examined for the realization of high-resolution displays for smart projection systems. The viability of multicolor tandem laser based pixel and associated addressing electronics are compared with other electroluminescent (EL) light emitting methodologies.
