Abstract
Terahertz time-domain spectroscopy has been used to detect biological and chemical molecules such as bacteria, spores, dipicolimic acid, tryptophan and CS2 in the frequency range 0.2 to 2.4 THz. Different absorption peaks were found for these samples which can be used to distinguish biological and chemical molecules in the environment.
