Abstract

Nonlinear propagation of pulse trains in a fiber which is assumed to have a refraction index that varies periodically along its length is considered. Our analysis is based on a generalization of the nonlinear coupled-mode equations, considering both linear and nonlinear effects. Results of simulation are presented in detail.
