Abstract

An incident beam, which enters into the devices through the input optical fiber has to be represented as finite rays. In this paper, two kinds of modeling method such as the annular modeling and the cell modeling were introduced and compared with each other. And, we analyzed coupling efficiency of the thin-film filter type micro-optic device used as a wavelength division multiplexer in optical communication system.
