Abstract
Eigenfunctions of random matrices that interpolate between the basic random matrix ensembles (orthogonal, unitary) display long-range correlations, in contrast to eigenfunctions of real or fully complex random matrices. We describe and quantify these correlations and discuss how they can be tested using microwave cavities.
