Abstract

The exploitation of the vast potential of nonlinear dynamics of semiconductor lasers subject to optical feedback requires a means of controlling the dynamics. Filtered optical feedback provides such control with “knobs” that are external to the laser. This will be useful, among other applications, for chaos synchronization and communication purposes.
