Abstract

Quantum cryptography systems to date have used attenuated lasers to approximate single photons. Such sources are vulnerable to photon splitting attacks. This work presents an experimental demonstration of quantum cryptography using a single photon source based on an optically pumped quantum dot in a micro-post cavity.
