Polymer and GaN Micro-pillar Lasers: From Omnidirectional to Uni-directional Laser Emission

Not Accessible

Abstract

Micro-lasers with directionality and self-provided feedback have been studied with GaN and polymer micro-pillars (2 µm thick) with various cross-sections. Our talk will cover experimental results of various cross-sections that evolved from being omnidirectional to unit-directional. It is important for the pumping geometry to overlap with the confined micro-cavity modes.
