Novel modulation techniques for optical fiber communications

Abstract

Recent advances in optical modulation techniques, in conjunction with other technological developments, have dramatically improved the performance of high-capacity fiber-optic transmission without electrical data regeneration. This talk will review some of these newly developed optical modulation methods.
