Wavelength conversion in lithium niobate linearly chirped gratings

Abstract

A wavelength converter based on linearly chirped gratings in lithium niobate crystal through cascaded second-order nonlinear processes is reported. The bandwidth of the linearly chirped grating is much broader than that of the periodic grating.
