Advanced Detection Scheme for Highly-Multimodal Waveguide Based Optical Interconnects

Abstract

We present a simple detection scheme for optical interconnects that reduces impulse dispersion and thus intersymbol interference. The optical output field is Fourier transformed and received by a detector array allowing detecting mode groups separately.
