Near-field Amplitude and Phase Measurements of Photonic Crystal Waveguides

Abstract

We use a heterodyne scanning nearfield optical microscope to measure the amplitude and phase of the nearfield around silicon photonic crystal waveguides. The obtained subwavelength-resolution images were used to analyze light propagation in the waveguides.
