Focusing Properties of Circularly Polarized Vortex Beam

Abstract

The focusing properties of circularly polarized vortex beam are studied numerically. With proper combination of the handness of the circular polarization and vortex charge, focal field with an extremely strong longitudinal component can be obtained.
