Two-Photon Absorption in Eu3+ Doped Silicate Glass

Abstract

We measured the two-photon absorption (TPA) coefficient at the fundamental of a nanosecond pulsed Nd:YAG laser in Eu3+ -doped silicate glass using the intensity scan technique. The TPA coefficient was found to be 5.5cm/GW.
