Quantum phases in Bose-Einstein condensate within ab-initio calculations

Abstract

We use the Pair-Density Functional Theory (PDFT) to observe transition between different phases in Bose-Einstein condensate. Unlike for the Bose-Hubbard theory the pair correlation function is calculated exactly for signature of quantum phase transition.
