Abstract

A photoconductive carrier lifetime of 0.9 picoseconds was observed in MEH-PPV by ultrafast pump-probe measurements and confirmed by photoinduced change of reflectivity measurements. This implies a transient carrier mobility as high as 800 cm2/Vs using a published value of quantum efficiency of 0.05%.
