Depth-Resolved Backscattering of Polarized Light from Scattering Medium: Simulation and Experiment

Abstract

Based on Monte Carlo simulation and Mie theory, an efficient algorithm has been developed for depth-resolved backscattering of polarized light through turbid medium. A low-coherence reflectometer is used to perform the experiment on tissue phantoms.
