Abstract

In this presentation we present results of high efficiency single layer electrophosphorescence OLEDs using solution processes techniques. One of the limitations obtaining high efficiency from a single layer electrophosphorescence OLED is the relatively poor charge balanced properties. The recent devices based on small molecule dyes dispersed in a host polymer matrix have power conversion efficiency up to 24 lm/W with luminous efficiencies exceeding 30 cd/A were reported [1]. The incorporation of additional small molecules is likely to improve injection and transport properties but no direct experimental results have been reported. Furthermore the energetic levels of the materials involved is of crucial importance since quenching effects are likely to occur in electrophosphorescence based OLEDs [2]
