Abstract

A thermally stable modulator using a novel Diels-Alder cross-linkable electro-optic (EO) polymer was fabricated to overcome the “nonlinearity-stability tradeoff” of conventional thermosetting EO polymers. The modulator showed long-term stability in 85°C environment, which satisfies the industrial requirement.
