Throughput improvement for volume holographic spectrometer using shift-multiplexing techniques

Abstract

We show the throughput of the volume holographic spectrometer is considerably improved using shift-multiplexed holograms as the dispersion medium. We also show the resolution-throughput trade-off is solved by recording shift-multiplexed holograms in a thicker material.
