Isotropic Negative Permeability at Optical Frequencies

Abstract

Inducing a negative permeability in optical metamaterials is currently under investigation by several research groups. Here we propose a setup providing a 3-D isotropic magnetic response at optical frequencies exploiting resonant plasmonic nanoparticles.
